The staff are super friendly, accommodating, caring and look after us very well. From service, to reception, housekeeping – not forgetting the best host Brendan.
We had a super great time with you and will definitely be back.
If you are looking for a small, quiet, lovely hotel near Standsted Airport and want to be in London quickly – Hunters Meet is highly recommended.
Wow had the most amazing morning, started with a swim followed by a beautiful full English Breakfast. Then a leg massage.

We went to party night hosted by Fanny Galore on Friday 6 October 23. Four of us were lucky enough to stay over and we were joined by four more friends in the evening. We all agreed that we had a fabulous time. The food was lovely, great entertainment and rooms spotless and comfortable. We enjoyed it so much we have booked again for husbands birthday. Staff are kind and attentive particularly Tanya, Kat and Sapphire – thanks so much youāre doing a great job – weāll be back and so will our friendsš
We stayed here Easter weekend for a wedding which was taking place at a different venue. I must say from the moment we checked in I knew this would be a great stay! We were welcomed by the most friendly of staff including Brenden (aka The Boss), who managed to fit us in, for which was a fully booked Cabaret that evening. Along with the cabaret, there was a 3 course meal that delivered above and beyond what we were expecting and was absolutely delicious considering how many people were there!
The room was excellent. It was more like a suite, with a 4 poster bed and a conservatory too! It was very clean and tidy. The usual tea and coffee facilities were available and of good standard. If I had to suggest a change, maybe put in a slightly bigger TV than what was there? (Not that that worried myself though).
The next day whilst waiting for the taxi, Brenden asked us if we wanted a lift to the wedding venue, which was certainly going out of his way as a hotelier and a very nice gesture.
In conclusion, the service, quality of food and general helpfulness from the friendly staff was second to none. It made our weekend feel very special after a 300 mile trip. Book now, you will not be disappointed!

Lovely friendly family run hotel. Clean and tidy, Varied evening Menu. Excellent service. All staff exceptionally welcoming and professional. Evening entertainment was fantastic – especially āSir Tom Jonesā! Canāt wait to return. Thank you for a fantastic stay.

Just a few words to say thank you so much for making Peterās 75th birthday gathering a success. The food was delicious and your staff are amazing. It was lovely to get family and friends together, it is not easy as we all lead busy lives but it made our day.

This is a beautiful hotel. Alisha cooked us a super vegetarian meal – superb vegetable curry and the boys loved the homemade pie!! Very friendly, clean and a super place to stay. Thank you all very much!’

Wonderful meal for a large party.
We came today as a party of 21.
The food was excellent and all came out together. Service was impeccable and the staff were fantastic! The male host (not sure if his name) was unbelievably welcoming and super friendly.
Considering we were such a large group the menu had a lot of variety and the childrenās menu was the same in terms of a lot of choice.
I have driven past this restaurant many times but never been but Iām so glad we visited. Such a wonderful welcoming place.’

Excellent service, beautiful meal, very good choice of all courses. Good portion sizes and all cooked to perfection. We were a family of 11 and all of us said it was the best meal we had ever had there and will definately be returning again soon, Thank you xx’

The entrance betrays the delights
Despite parking difficulties,this restuarant and bar delighted on every front. The welcome as we arrived, the reception by all members of staff when approached or just passing. The service was excellent, attentive staff and good wines at very reasonable prices. The menu range and choice at a function for around 80 was great and then to deliver such a variety of quality, well prepared meals promptly was incredible.
The management and staff deserve congratulations.

A BIG BIG Thank you to Brendan and all his staff, This a small family run hotel that caters for wedding ceremonies , and many more. Our second time holding a wedding here , and they never disappoint. Me and my mum went to the Hunters Meet for afternoon tea.
It was a lovely experience and we had a number of tasty sandwiches and cakes.
We requested plain scones only and a vegetarian option and this was catered for.
Our waitress was very friendly and attentive and we felt very well looked after throughout the afternoon.
There was a lovely and relaxed atmosphere where we ate and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. We had a lovely afternoon and would definitely return :)’

Excellent location and staff so accommodating
I have been staying at the hunters meet , for several months , work related.
I stayed in several of there rooms , which are all spotless and clean. The receptionists are always happy and smiling, itās a nice meeting place when working away from home.
Itās a home from home is the only way I can describe it.
The food is excellent , and the all you can eat BBQ is a must , if winter curry night was a great replacement.
I canāt recommend to stay either business or social, I have stayed in many hotels and the service and greeting bye the staff and Brendan and Leslie the owners is also I lovely touch.
